So you're interested in playing for the LA Chill, travelling with us a few times a year to fun places like Las Vegas, Vancouver, and Nova Scotia, partying with us between games (well, okay, not all of us party all the time :), committing to practices and fundraising events, improving your hockey, making new friends, and just generally having a great time?

GREAT! You're just the person we're looking for!

The Chill currently has a "rolling" roster. That means that we have not had try-outs or anything restricting our roster. Players are registered with USA Hockey individually through the LA Chill or through their respective leagues or rinks. We have about 30 people on the list right now, but not everyone is active all the time.

So how does this work, then? The "core" members are asked to go to tournaments first. Core people are those who have attended most of our practices, have paid their $30 annual dues, and are in good "financial" standing with the team--and that usually isn't enough to fill a roster. So then we go to the rest of the list to fill the vacancies on a first-come basis. That's where you would fit in. If you're interested, all you have to do is send us an email at let us know you would like to join the LA Chill, and we'll let you know about upcoming practices and tournaments. Typically, the more you show your face (at practices, events, etc.), the more we see you are committed and the more likely you are to be put on the roster for a tournament. If enough players on the roster want to go to the tournament, the Chill can go as two teams--that way no one is left out!
